The room was ok, dated and basic. The condensation on the windows is extreme. It lierally piurs sown to puddles on the window sill so don't leave anything like we had.

Upon entering our room there was an overpowering unpleasant smell. I returned to reception where the staff were very pleasant and helpful and was assigned another room which was better. It was a standard room at £126 not including breakfast. It was on the 9th floor and overlooked St James Park football ground. It was very compact with very little room between the bed and the wall. The noise from the events in the nearby Stack restaurants was very loud until midnight. Bed was very comfortable

I stayed at the Sandman as it is close to where i was working. Lovely room with a kitchen. Comfortable bed and great bathroom facilities. highly recommended and would stay again
