Friendly staff and convenient location

Hotel looks a little shabby on the outside, but is in reasonably good condition internally. Very friendly and helpful staff. Conveniently positioned for city (about a 35min walk) free parking at hotel. Buffet breakfast with wide choices. The room was on the small side and we could hear other guests. Pillows were very hard and uncomfortable. All facilities in room worked well and were clean.

Love this hotel for the locality, its about 30 min walk into York passed the Racecourse which is a pleqsant walk, although the option to jump on a bus is easy as they pass frequently. The hotel has been refurbished inside and looks great, its just the outside that doesnt look great. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again.

Hotel was good room good apart from bathroom which was rather small.there was dust on bottom of tall lamp stand andscuff marks but not bad at all. Food was good buffet breakfast continental and full english. Staff friendly. Room was rather hot in temptature.

Reasonably priced but not inspiring. Room was tired and in need of an upgrade. Cramped shower room. Food at dinner would have been ok if hadn’t been luke-warm. Staff, however, were generally good. Not sure I’d stay there again.
