Overall we enjoyed our stay. Location is excellent. Beatle theme was very good. Help from the front desk was good and help from maintenance was very good (we needed an extension cord).
On the negative side, the TV was very glitchy (unwatchable) and the stairways and halls were too dark for our liking. Overall it was a good place to stay
Rooms are old need updated, air conditioning doesn’t work and very noisy they give you a fan that shuts off after 2 hrs maid didn’t clean room just made bed and put new towels in the room!
Lovely hotel spoiled slightly by malfunctioning air con so spent and uncomfortable and noisy night with balcony door open
Ordered a glass of red wine which took a while as bar closed so stock not easily available for night staff,… 22.40 so not that late.
Wonderful Beatles themed hotel in an old beautiful building which has been sympathetically refurbished. Excellent design of lift in original stairwell. Staff helpful, breakfast was adequate but we were on the last minute. Would go back to this hotel.
Good location nice hotel but being an older couple our room overlooked Matthew street
I booked this hotel as a surprise for my partners birthday as he's a big beatles fan i paid a lot of money to stay here and was disappointed with the noise coming in the room till 4am in the morning couldn't get much sleep at all didnt think it was worth the money...... staff was lovely though. if we had a different room i wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
Perfect place to stay for a Beatles fan. It’s within walking distance to the Cavern Club and many of the Beatles sites. The hotel is beautifully decorated with Beatles memorabilia and the staff is friendly and accommodating. We were very happy with the choice of this hotel for our 2 night stay in Liverpool.
Great hotel and really friendly staff.
Our room was really spacious and nicely decorated.
Breakfast was decent, good spread although they do seem to run out hot buffet items quickly so better replenishing would be greatly appreciated.
The Beatles theme seems to
run throughout the hotel and it’s lovely to see! I would say they would benefit from a live band but there is live music on the road just adjacent to the hotel in lots of bars so don’t think this was necessary.
Location is perfect. We would definitely stay here again. Excellent value for money
Our room was blazing hot when we arrived - turned out the air conditioning was broken. They said they'd send someone to look at it, then that they'd provide a portal A/C unit. That never arrived, so we followed up but still nothing. Followed up again and still nothing sent. In the end, we asked to be moved to a different room because they didn't bother offering any resolution.
The next room we were given had working A/C, but was right next to live music which went on until 1am. The shower controls are very weird, so you have to get soaked with icy cold water before being able to adjust the temperature.
The bed was awful - if one of you turns over, the entire bed shakes. Lights randomly turned on at night. The thermostat was right next to my pillow and also stayed lit up for quite a while, so I had to cover it with a tissue stuck there with chewing gum as there was no other way to stop it from lighting up the room. The desk also blocked one of only two easily accessible plugs.
The hotel's location is great, but that was about it - we wouldn't bother staying here again.

Disappointing Decline in Standards
We’ve stayed at this hotel many times before and always had a great experience, which is why we’ve kept coming back. Unfortunately, the last couple of visits have been really disappointing, and our most recent stay was the worst yet.
The noise levels were completely unacceptable extremely loud throughout the night, and in the morning, the sound of the ballads going up and down was ridiculous. It felt impossible to get any rest. This is nowhere near the standard we used to enjoy here.
It’s such a shame to see the decline in quality, especially from a place we used to really enjoy. I hope the management takes this feedback on board because, as it stands, we’ll be thinking twice before booking again.
Grander than expected. Large building that may once have been a bank. Warm welcome. Upgraded room with balcony. Really nice.
Only negative was musty smell in bathroom despite the fact they had the fan running 24/7
Restaurant dinner and breakfast were really good. Live music at 8 and Happy Hour in the bar from 4-8pm
Excellent themed decor.
