I think a new procedure for checking in thats swift. I sent a msg to say we would be arriving after 9pm no reply. Was told we needed to pay $100 bond that wasnt clear from the start. Check in time takes to long.

Although off a busy road once you arrived inside. No road noise. Modern facilities. No aircon. No real reception. You rang a number to organise key. Impersonal. But facilities fine. Reasonably priced.

Booked 2 bedroom for family of 5 as I was seeking self contained accommodation to be able to cook meals during our 2 night stay. Main issue was that the oven and stove top did not work well/ at all which was disappointing. Overall it was adequate and if the cooking facilities were improved would consider staying again.

Takapuna Motor Lodge is absolutely disgusting. Our room was filthy with stains on the duvet cover, dirty utensils and dirty towels left behind the bedside table. The communication with staff was terrible and they were late goving iur bond back, we had to chase them up about this. I would not stay here again and I would most definitely NOT recommend anyone to stay here. Yuck.

Our booking was for 2x adults & 2 x Children - Boy & Girl teenagers. There was not enough room for the sofa bed to fold out so unusable. Sofa bed was not made up and when bedding was requested & supplied it didn't fit the bed. Were told that nothing can be done as that was the room we had booked. Eventually after much complaining we were given a more suitable room!

Never stay here

Check in was difficult done via phone. Room was spartan with an all night party going on upstairs. Got no reply from reception. Very noisy. We left after only 1 night of 2 booked. Stay away from this place
