Perfect condo for our family trip! Amazing ocean view from the lanai. Storage area stocked with beach gear came in handy. A/C worked well. Bathrooms a bit out-dated, but worked for us. The grounds are beautiful and well-maintained. Loved the ocean pool at sunset. We will return!

Beautiful view and a comfortable home

Easily accommodated 3 couples. AC worked well, the view off the lanai was beautiful and the condo complex had very well maintained ammenities. I would definitely recommend!

Amazing stay

Amazing location, clean facilities and easy check in/out. Calm and beautiful resort and the view from this unit is out of this world. Best sunset on the balcony! We even saw dolphins!!! Master is spacious bathroom as well. Decor is very rustic and « vacation vibes » ! Would rent again in a heartbeat. (Family of 6)

A great place to stay!

Check in/out was so simple. We loved staying here, close to restaurants, grocery and gas stations. The view from the lanai was stunning anytime of day, especially the sunsets. We saw outrigger canoe groups daily and dolphins every morning. This condo is right on the water, just the right size for group, we will definitely stay here again! Loved all the amenities, we did pay extra for a/c.

Me and my 2 young adults had a great time at Kanaloa 2004. Not sure if I missed it in the details, but the 3d bedroom is actually a loft. Condo had everything we needed plus some leftovers over various things that was nice. The patio view is nearly indescribable.

Beautiful view

Spacious condo with room for family of 4 to spread out, beautiful view from the lanai, well appointed kitchen, very clean. Our only issue was that the refrigerator ice maker was not working, which was a little inconvenient, but ultimately not a huge problem.

5 star location

Spacious condo perfectly situated with a lanai overlooking the sunset and pounding waves. The development is away from the noise, between downtown Kona to the north and Captain Cook attractions like Two Step and Puʻuhonua o Hōnaunau to the south. Manta ray snorkeling trips depart from around the corner on Keauhou Bay. I decided to stay here despite one negative review, and I"m happy I did - the dryer vent and jacuzzi problems have been corrected. There is beach equipment in the closet (small cooler, chairs, umbrella, boogie boards, water shoes and snorkel gear) and board games to keep you entertained. Plenty of room to spread out or gather in a big group. Super comfy beds including four twin size beds for the kids to have their own. Would stay here again.

Perfect Hawaii Experience

Property was exactly as described. Beds and furnishings were very comfortable. We did opt for the A/C but didn't always use it. Sitting on the lanai was heaven - listening to waves crashing, watching whales and dolphins and mainly escaping Montana winter!

Comfortable, Spacious, Amazing Views!

This was our first time traveling to Kona HI and we are so thankful we found this condo. We had 4 adults and a 2.5 year old. Very spacious, parking spot, fantastic balcony on top of the ocean. We saw dolphins outside the lanai daily with gorgeous sunset views. Very quiet complex with 3 pools (ocean pool was our favorite). Conveniences and grocery store just up the street. 15 min drive to the downtown Kona area. Weather was impeccable. Very warm but the shady lanai with a fan was very comfortable. Will be staying there again.

Beautiful Location and Great Condo

To start, we just want to thank the owner, Mark, for being so responsive. The housecleaner was also incredible and was available at check in to quickly wash over the floors for us, which was very kind of her to be available on a Saturday afternoon. Saying that, the unit is very beautiful. The lanai and the view from the lanai was just amazing. We spent a lot of time just relaxing out there. The location is a little away from Kona proper, but for us it was perfect. The complex has three perfect pools, although we spent most of our time at the Ocean pool. Beautifully maintained complex that was very nice to stroll around with our young child. The unit comes very well stocked with all cooking essentials. I read some complaints about the furniture but we didn't have a problem with any of it. The couches made squeaking noises when you sat down, but we felt the decor was perfect for a Hawaiian vacation. Check-in was smooth, and as I wrote earlier, the owner was so responsive throughout it was very nice. We had a very pleasurable stay and would for sure recommend this place to anyone and we are already looking forward to heading back soon. Only thing to note that isn't a negative but we wish it was stated in the description (it may have and we just missed it), is that while this units living area is mostly flat, you do need to walk up a flight of about 20 stairs to enter the unit. Amazing View

My family enjoyed our stay in this vacation rental. This rental was so spacious for my family of six. The condo had everything that we needed. We enjoyed cooking our family meals while watching the ocean or the sunset. The layout of the condo allows you to watch the sunset and the ocean while you are in the kitchen, dining room or in the living room. We enjoyed relaxing in the lanai while watching the ocean waves crashed on the lava rocks. It was so relaxing and peaceful. We will definitely rent this condo the next time we visit the big island.

Clean and Good Location

Our family loved staying in this property. We loved being able to sit out on the balcony to watch and listen to the waves. It was a super clean rental and was nice to have air conditioning. The property is also in a good location, close to some excellent snorkeling and not too far away from some really nice white, sandy beaches. While not new, there were also boogie boards, beach chairs and a cooler to use that worked great for our family. We would definitely come back. Thanks for letting us use your home!

A million dollar view for sure. Location is great too. Beds were comfortable. There is a closet full of beach supplies including many pair of water shoes and snorkel gear, chairs, floats and boogie boards. Very helpful. Property is a bit out dated, but it looks like they are getting ready to renovate which would be nice. Outside overlooking the ocean was the most enjoyed spot.

Pleasant Stay

This is a nice rental with the basics for a condo stay. It has one king bed and four twins. I thought when I booked it listed a second queen/double bed. The view and proximity to activities and necessities is perfect for our wants. Overall, the unit is in good condition. The bathrooms could use a refresh and some cleaning product for the showers would have been nice. Some appropriately placed pest control would also help keep cabinets and drawers a little - shall we say less startling. One thing about all Kanaloa properties to consider is the stairs. This is not an elderly or handicapped friendly property. I’ve stayed here 5 times over the last few years and every unit I have rented has a set of steps to ascend to get to the front door. Even the “ground” floor units. The issue only became obviously apparent and troublesome because my father has recently had problems walking and now uses a cane. Getting up stairs was tricky and painful. Going down was scary. I suspect that if he comes with us again, we will have to find another place to rent.

Really Hard To Beat Ocean Front Location

Very nice unit in nicely laid out, well maintained, landscaped and secure development. Warmly decorated with lots of Hawaiian touches. Sunset and ocean views directly out the front off lanai. BBQ across from main entrance, ocean pool steps a way. Appreciated the air conditioning after a week on Oahu without a/c. We used as base camp for exploring the big island and it was great to come back to at end of day. Good snorkeling in nearby bay when ocean is calm. Had some staple items, spices from previous renters which was handy. Grocery shopping within walking distance - good selection of everything you might want or need. All the best sightseeing is a long daily drive on this island but worth it. Make sure to do the nearby Manta ray snorkeling at sunset with one of the tour operators near Sheraton Resort We went with SeaQuest and they were great (online coupon available). Volcanoes National Park is must see. There is a really useful guide in the unit that details all the best things to see and do - take it with you on your daily travels. Enjoy.

A slice of heaven

We were so blessed to stay here at unit 2004 at Kanaloa. Everything you need and more was provided . The unit is perfect for a family or just a few friends.
