The room was clean, hotel was nice enough and reflected the price point. Rooms were dated which is fine as they were clean. Restaurant on-site had a good enough menu but one morning service was slow and took half hr to get a refill. Pool by the ocean was good and nice to have the hottub nearby. Beach right in back of property is not suited to lay down on a water can come crashing in and a little rocky. Pickleball courts are a nice add on as was having stackable washer and dryer and full kitchen in the room. For the price, i would stay here again.

Staff was very helpful and pleasant. Amenities were great. Unfortunately my wife could not eat at your restaurant as she is celiac and none of your staff could figure out how to make something gluten free for her other than a fruit plate. It would be nice when we come back if your restaurant staff was a little more versed in being able to make a couple of gluten free items so my wife could at least get some protein. All in all had a nice time.

Staff was amazing! The room could have used some love. Had to put a towel at the base of the door to make sure the a/c cooled off the room. There was a gap at the top as well. But with the bottom it did half decent. Luckily it wasn’t too hot during our stay. Also one end of the lights above the bar was hanging. It got us thru the week though good bang for your buck.

We loved our stay at Kanapali Shores. It felt like old Hawaii, just as we like it! Beautiful grounds, friendly staff, and great beach. Sea turtles and Monk seal paid us a visit while there. True, the hotel rooms are dated, but it honestly made it feel like classic Hawaii vs a square white box. Highly recommend!
