Our beachfront room was incredible--spacious, comfortable, and with stunning ocean views! The beds were cozy, the A/C kept us perfectly cool, and having two bathrooms and a well-equipped kitchen made our stay extra convenient. (I also liked the Hawaiian Tropic toiletries--shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, & lotion … oh, and the complimentary 10% Kona Blend Coffee.) We loved the pools, beach snorkeling, and happy hour--all fantastic. The resort’s complimentary ukulele and hula lessons, plus the $10 lei-making class, were wonderful touches that added to the experience. Definitely take advantage of these activities! The pools are very family-friendly and have a relaxed, European vibe since there’s no strict poolside supervision. (And yes--the resort provides great pool towels!) If you’re open to attending a timeshare presentation next door, you can get significant discounts on excursions. Even without it, the concierge helped us book fun activities at reasonable prices for Maui--and as a bonus, booking excursions directly through the resort earned us a free day of reserved beachfront loungers, which made for the perfect relaxation day! That said, the best snorkeling was right off the resort beach, especially for spotting turtles! Honolua Bay, near the Blowhole, also offers some of the island’s top snorkeling--just bring water shoes and a picnic for a full day of fun. Overall, you simply can’t go wrong with this resort--your only regret will be not staying longer!

"Amenities fee" ($28/day) and parking fee ($11/day) increased price of stay by nearly 35% for a 4-day stay. "ocean view" room, maybe a quarter mile away, is a bit of a stretch. Just an average stay, would recommend looking elsewhere for the price point.

We had booked a 1 bedroom unit with kitchen and living room. When we got to our room it was a 2 bedroom unit with 2 bathrooms and a great ocean view. It was our 45th Anniversary and upon check in we received a box of chocolate covered macadamia nuts and a bottle of chardonnay!

We were happy to be upgraded from a studio jr suite to a one-bedroom suite, although our partial ocean view was more of a sliver. But the nicer accommodations and proximity to the Garden Pool more than made up for it! We even had a washer/dryer and laundry soap was provided! The choice of a beach pool next to the actual beach and Garden Pool was great. My family and I spent joyful days in the pool and jacuzzi. The furniture were in good condition and artwork tasteful. The kitchen was well stocked with appliances, utensils and cleaning products. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Beach Club breakfast was delicious, especially the Kalua Benedict. The resort was even conveniently located with a strip mall and Times Grocery Store across the street. We would definitely stay here again!
