Seemed to be a slightly older property compared to the other nearby resorts. However very well maintained and beautiful still. Only one dining option but very good food and drinks. Good overall amenities like free coffee and hospitality was good. Location is part of the complimentary trolley service. The pool and beach was great. Room was older like i said but full kitchen and soft bed. They provided room service by request. A great option if you want to save a little on the cost. They do charge an extra $40/night upon arrival tho.

Rooms are dated, but clean. My only “complaint” was a bank of loud air conditioning units were below my 3rd floor room and they were so loud 24/7 that being out on the lanai was unpleasant. One night the roar of the machines woke me up. That said, I was told they are temporary, awaiting new equipment.

It's a beautiful location, near easily walkable spots and perfect for people with small children. The pool could be bigger, but if you have a child younger than 3 years old, it's a perfect size. Lots of other wonderful guests to hang out with.

Maui to see the whales and beautiful sunsets

Excellent service at front desk. Studio condo had everything we needed. Steps away from pool and beach. Enjoyed hearing the ocean waves, the nightly luau music from next door, the live music at the onsite restaurant and of course seeing whales frequently.

The room was a little dated and we had a cockroach visit us. MKV is a premiere resort so it was a bit disappointing that the room was so dated. The staff at MKV are amazing and friendly. Castaways is a great place to eat and have cocktails when at the pool or beach!

Lovely grounds and friendly people.

We stayed in a main floor villa which siuted us well. Liked the access from parking of not having to climb stairs. We enjoyed the on site restaurant....very convenient.

Great place and wonderful staff! A few small negatives… Only thing I didn’t like was all of the extra fees at the end. I think it was $35/day added plus a lot of little taxes. Parking is difficult as well, but we’re young and didn’t affect us much with a little walking to get to the room. Just a heads up for any elderly visitors.
