The rooms are clean and modern, and the entire property is well cared for. Even though there was some construction happening during our visit, it was managed in a way to minimize any negative impacts to our stay

Unless prices of food and lodging go down there is no way we will ever be able to return. The on sight restaurant prices are ridiculously high.

Nice hotel, below average pool

Our stay at this resort was okay, but I gave them extra points because they gave us a late checkout of 1:00pm for no charge. Our ocean/pool view room was nice, the beds comfortable. But I was under whelmed by the pool. Why they need a 8’ and 9’ deep section, I do not know, but it didn’t even have an edge to sit and enjoy the water. The sitting edge is only in the shallow end. Their below average pool is why I would not stay there again.

The pool was under repair so a large part of it was closed. This was not communicated when we booked the nonrefundable stay. Additionally, the beach in from of the resort was not accessible without walking for several minutes to the end of the barriers- this was due to their very appropriate and laudable efforts to counter erosion that has occurred and protect the environment, but again, this should have been noted before submitting a nonrefundable payment. There are plenty of choices in this area, and I feel that there was some inaccurate representation of their facility. The room was lovely and the staff were great - but the enormous amount I paid was not appropriate for what we encountered. Finally, Expedia did not include the resort fees in their offer and this was another $500. I will probably not use expedia again
