Clean room, staff are amazing, bar is excellent. They are currently renovating the building, so some of the main entrances are closed and the elevators are always full.

This hotel is under construction, no lobby, workers all over the hotel and clogging up the parking and unloading area. Management indifferent. Staying at a construction site, with no prior notice to guests or discount to rooms.

We enjoyed our stay. Needed towels, staff brought up immediately after phone to desk. Bar was fun, too. We had dinner there and a few things. The price of the meals are extremely high, ie: pork chop was $46 which included no sides. The pork chop came out very under cooked, however the chef corrected and was very tasty. And the waitress Glacy (who was very fun to banter with!), made it right with a complimentary beer and dessert (which was very good). We would not eat there again onky because of the price, but again Service was excellent and the chef is talented. Overall, 8/10!

The Strathallan is long overdue for a renovation. The hallways are dingy and you can smell the years. The “living room” furniture is akin to the sofas and chairs one might find at the curb on garbage night. The bathroom sinks are higher than “comfort height” and the counter is too deep to make washing, brushing or shaving comfortable. This might be okay for someone 6’ 5” with very long arms, but not for anyone near average height. The HVAC system is as loud as it is old and the terraces are eroding. The lobby, however, is bright and welcoming, as is the staff. The lobby bar is terrific. I can only hope that the transition from DoubleTree by Hilton to Tapestry by Hilton is done swiftly. For now, the rates for rooms here are outrageous considering the condition of the rooms.

The only complaint that I have is that the bath towels were like sand paper. They need to buy some new towels. Otherwise, everything was great. Staff was welcoming, warm & helpful. Room was great - clean and bedding was cozy and comfortable.
