The staff were very friendly and accommodating. After a long bus ride from Palm Springs to Vegas, all I wanted was to sleep. Unfortunately, a blaring fire alarm from an abandoned building across from my room went off for hours. The staff immediately offered to move me, and I gladly accepted. While I could still hear the alarm faintly, I was able to rest before heading back out.
The new room I moved into had a slightly stale, musty smell, and the paint on the walls was chipped, making it look a bit worn. I was a little disappointed because my previous room was on the main floor, much newer, and slightly larger than the one I was relocated to. It also didn’t have the musty, run-down scent of the new room.
After my nap, I just wanted to watch a little TV to catch up on the news, as I had been traveling in the U.S. from Canada for a few weeks. Unfortunately, the TV didn’t work. I reported this to the front desk right away, but they informed me that maintenance wouldn’t be available until the morning.
Upon checkout, I explained the situation to the front desk staff, and they kindly removed the “amenities fee” charged for hotel rooms. This was a generous gesture that made me feel welcome and appreciated. I wasn’t overly concerned—just a bit frustrated—but the front desk staff were kind and quick to make things right. Because of their excellent customer service, I would definitely return. The staff there are true gems who should be cherished.
