First time at this hotel on Roosevelt Island and wish we'd found it sooner. perfectly situated and feels like you've really left the city when you step out of the subway station, yet you're right across the river. The surrounding area is lovely with lots of green areas/parks, it's super walkable and the views are nice. Several cute restaurants nearby. Room is clean and quiet (it was a little warm in our room); super plush towels and wonderful water pressure in shower. The hotel lobby and seating areas are charming with cozy sitting nooks, and couches and the books on the walls give it a wonderful vibe. We'll definitely stay again.

Concert trip

My daughter and I were in town for a concert. The room was clean. The view of the NYC skyline was beautiful, especially at sunset and at night. We felt very safe in this location.

I still cant understand my bill. I’ve read it several times, no explanation for the charges. Not all of my charges and credits appear. Reservation was through Expedia, which may be an issue, but that should be invisible to me. Transportation to and from hotel is very expensive if the tram is not used. Metro card does not work consistently. Had to use credit card several times after paying for metro card. Nice hotel. Very expensive for its location away from everything New York.

we arrived home with bed bug or flea bites, which have spread on our bodies and have lasted over a week. We informed the hotel of the problem, and they say they cleaned the room, but they denied that the bed bugs/fleas came from the hotel bed. They have done nothing to remedy our situation. A very nice hotel, but a problem like this deserves more attention and some attempt to help us with our problem

My room reeked of mildew/mold. I called to request a different room but no one at the front desk answered the phone. I communicated with the text service about it multiple times. Eventually the manager told me (in person) that his crew cleaned an AC duct and that all was well, but in fact it smelled even worse/stronger after they ran the AC. I had to keep the AC off and window open the whole time. I will not stay here again.
