The rooms and amenities were very clean, our room was cleaned thoroughly daily, and free breakfast. I took advantage of the orange juice and scrambled eggs. The breakfast doesn’t stand out but it’s free. I like how close it is to manhattan (only 2 stops on the subway and a short walking distance to the station) the outside area is a little rough but once again it’s just a short walk to the subway station. It was a good value for your money.

The pros: easy to locate, nice continental breakfast, responsively hot shower, friendly staff. The cons: old water in the coffee maker, only one towel hook too high to reach in the bathroom, the crib was quite dirty on multiple rails and needed intensive cleaning, a microwave should have been in the room, and the beds slid out of place constantly, making them unsafe.

This was the worst stay I’ve had in the US… like ever. You’re better and safer at: motel 6, Super 8 or anywhere in the world that’s not here. Cops were called cuz I had a hood on - the people that stay here are nasty. The whole place is sticky, locks were broken, the bed felt dirty. Like Windgate is literally the worst / never doing this in my life. A holiday inn is better than this place and the location is horrible. This isn’t even Long Island city - these are the projects at the bottom of Astoria. Never again doing this.

It was very cozy. It was kept clean the bathroom was spacious. The lighting in there was amazing to do makeup in. The front desk and lobby service was great. They had a variety of breakfast options as well.
